DVD?

I know. We all have Netflix or Amazon prime to watch movies these day. But something about DVD or even VHS bring us back to the low technology world that relax me for some reason. I love to pick a DVD from our DVD cabinet and set back and relax in the room. Many of the movie you may not even find it on Netflix or prime but they are good. You know what I mean. They are one of those old movie which low technology shooting but have great taste to compassionate.

Yes, I am one of those weird people who love black and white (especially gelatin silver print from the dark room) pictures and old tube radio. And yes, I love to roll my film from a large roll into tiny film holder, take pictures and wind it back. Smell of the paper and chemical and slowly seeing the picture appear under the red light. This slow process relax me more than sitting in front of the computer screen. I miss the day that I have to bring my tripod and wait for hours to take one good picture with the right amount of light. Yes, that’s why I can never leave Oregon. I am too weird 🙂

Near the pier is a place where I don’t want people to forget the beauty of low technology. Step back when we are on vacation. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate technology (in fact I work in technology industry believe me or not), technology is important in our day to day life and make our lives easier and better in some way. But something will never be able to replace. The sound, the smell, the touch…….they will always stay.
